This healthy, refined sugar-free watermelon lemonade is made with only three simple, natural ingredients!

Summer heat calls for a cooling, hydrating drink that’s both simple and satisfying. This refined sugar-free watermelon lemonade uses only natural ingredients and requires no cooking. It’s light, fruity, and refreshingly tart—perfect for hot afternoons, backyard gatherings, or whenever you need a flavorful way to stay hydrated.

Instead of plain water, try this watermelon lemonade to keep fluids up while enjoying something delicious. The recipe replaces refined white sugar with agave for a gentler sweetness, but you can adjust the amount to your taste. I like to drink it straight as a sweet watermelon juice, while others prefer it diluted with sparkling water for a bubbly watermelon soda. A few cucumber slices and a sprig of mint make it feel extra special.

Refined Sugar-Free Watermelon Lemonade
Ingredients
-
5-6
cups
diced watermelon
see note -
1
cup
freshly squeezed lemon juice
about 5-6 large lemons -
2/3
cup
agave -
5
cups
cold water
Instructions
-
Place the diced watermelon in a blender and puree until completely smooth. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing gently to extract about 2 cups of juice. Discard the solids. Add the lemon juice and agave, stirring until the agave dissolves. Stir in the cold water, taste, and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired. Chill thoroughly before serving.
Recipe Notes
You’re aiming for roughly 2 cups of watermelon juice, but exact amounts aren’t critical—add a bit more or less watermelon depending on ripeness and sweetness. If you prefer a fizzy drink, mix the watermelon lemonade with seltzer in a 1:4 ratio (juice to seltzer) for a light watermelon soda. Garnish with cucumber slices and fresh mint if desired.
