Ridgecrest Vietnamese Restaurant Pho CRQ

I enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine, so I was pleased to discover Pho CRQ, a Vietnamese restaurant in Ridgecrest located in a modest strip mall. The spot is unpretentious, and the dishes are prepared with care.

The menu offers many familiar favorites along with a few items that were new to me. The selection felt genuine and approachable, making it easy to try something different while still finding trusted classics.

I ordered a vegetarian banh mi sandwich. Banh mi originated as street food in Saigon and blends Vietnamese flavors with a French-style roll—an enduring reminder of Vietnam’s colonial history and the culinary influences that remain.

Prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are satisfying. In addition to the hot dishes and sandwiches, Pho CRQ carries a small grocery section stocked with Asian ingredients and packaged items that can be hard to find locally.

The lunch was enjoyable and well worth the stop. If I’m back through the area, I’ll certainly return to sample more from their menu.
