There’s nothing more classic for game day than a big plate of wings, and these Sticky Honey Sriracha Wings are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Wings are a staple at my house. During BBQ season we hold a “Wing Fest” where the grill is piled high with different flavors so there are plenty of leftovers to try. While Buffalo wings are a classic, these Sticky Honey Sriracha Wings always stand out: sweet, sticky, and boldly spicy with an appealing Asian-inspired tang.
Not long ago my husband and I hosted a game night. I served a platter of Buffalo wings beside a platter of these Sticky Honey Sriracha Wings. When guests went back for seconds, the Sticky Honey Sriracha wings vanished first.
I first adapted the sauce idea from Chef John at FoodWishes—whenever I try one of his recipes I know it will be worth it. The cooking method here is straightforward and works with many sauces: you end up with juicy meat that nearly falls off the bone, while the skin finishes crisp and caramelized.
How to make Sticky Honey Sriracha Wings
Preheat the oven to 400°F (about 200°C). Lightly spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Pat the wings dry, season them with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, and arrange them on the sheet without crowding so air can circulate.
Bake the wings at 400°F for one hour, flipping them halfway through so they cook evenly. While they bake, whisk together the sauce: honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, and a touch of sesame oil.
When the hour is up, toss the wings with about three-quarters of the sauce in a large bowl to coat them. Return the wings to the cookie sheet and broil for 2–5 minutes, watching closely so they don’t burn—the broiler caramelizes the sauce, creating a bubbly, sticky, and slightly charred glaze. Remove from the oven and brush the wings once more with the remaining sauce for extra shine and flavor.

Finish by sprinkling toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions over the wings. Serve immediately and watch them disappear at your party. Enjoy!
Pair these wings with other game-day favorites for a full spread. A few ideas that complement the flavors well include crostini with ricotta and peaches, hearty pork nachos, or a zesty pico de gallo.
