Salad dressings can transform a simple salad into something memorable. If you enjoy bright, bold flavors, this Cherry Vinaigrette delivers a lively balance of sweet and tart with just the right amount of oil and seasoning so the cherry flavor stands out. It’s one of the easiest homemade dressings you can make.

I admit I prefer homemade dressings—there’s nothing like the freshness and control over ingredients. This Cherry Vinaigrette comes together in under two minutes: put the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth and emulsified, then transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store it in the refrigerator and it will keep tasting fresh for about two weeks.

Later this week we’ll share a Cherry Salad recipe featuring Gorgonzola and toasted almonds—it’s a perfect match for this dressing. The Cherry Vinaigrette recipe yields about 1 ⅔ cups of dressing. We usually make extra so there’s enough for multiple salads over a couple of weeks.

Ready to excite your taste buds? Try this Cherry Vinaigrette—it’s a likely new favorite. Enjoy!
