I hope your weekend plans include rest, sunshine, and something delicious. I’ll be spending most of mine at home testing the entire Dude Diet cocktail list with my roommate. I did something similar before filming Cocktails and Confessions, and things got a bit strange, so send good vibes—if you don’t hear from me by Tuesday, assume I’m recovering from a multi-day hangover.
Before I dive into that boozy experiment, I wanted to celebrate the magic of lemons. They’re obviously delicious, but they’re also incredibly useful around the kitchen in ways beyond food and drink. From deodorizing trash cans to serving as a natural insect deterrent, lemons solve a surprising number of household problems. In this week’s Just The Tip, I’m sharing several practical ways to put lemons to work. As I always say: “When life gives you lemons…use them to sanitize your cutting boards!” That one’s destined to catch on.
